The wayfinding system was designed to be unique and intuitive to help the commuters navigate through the Kochi Metro system with ease. Kochi, an international tourist destination and known for its diverse cultural landscape, the design is an attempt to reflect this essence of Kochi.
The visitor experience design caters to the diverse demographics of visitors to the city as well as local everyday commuters, integrating technology to provide smart solutions.
Folded Form : Inspired by the native traditional craft
The design was inspired from the traditional decorations and toys made from folded palm leaves which is very common in Kerala. The simplicity and the minimalistic look of these forms are reproduced in the signs with the use of bent sheet metal with layered use of colors.
