The exhibition booth for Oorja at India Design Week was conceived as a minimalistic yet poetic space to introduce the brand and its nature‑inspired lighting products. Oorja’s collection, crafted from natural materials like banana fibre and handmade paper, features sculptural, statement‑making pieces, and the design aimed to highlight this uniqueness through an evocative concept inspired by dandelions.
The booth takes the form of a simple cuboid, intentionally restrained to let the lighting pieces become the visual focus. From within this quiet envelope, the lights, designed to echo the delicacy and movement of dandelions, were suspended in varying heights and directions, creating the impression that they were gently floating or drifting out of the space. This sense of lightness and flight amplified the organic qualities of the materials and invited visitors into an immersive, dreamlike atmosphere.
